Cookie information

Last updated 19 October 2026

The Trade Hook currently uses only cookies that are necessary to keep the site and authenticated service working securely. We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies.

Essential session cookie

A signed session cookie keeps you logged in, protects setup and account actions and ensures that you see only the correct business. It is marked HttpOnly and SameSite Lax. In production it is also marked Secure so it is sent only over HTTPS. The session normally expires after eight hours.

Security information

The application also uses short lived server side security information for form protection and rate limiting. This is necessary to defend account and setup actions and is not used for advertising.

Local browser storage

The public service does not rely on local browser storage for tracking. A separate local design review tool exists only for development and is not available in customer production mode.

Your controls

You can remove cookies using your browser settings. Blocking or deleting the essential session cookie will sign you out and may prevent account setup or protected forms from working.

Changes

If optional analytics or marketing technology is added later, this notice and any required consent controls will be updated before that technology is used.
